Our ESG Journey

Karex’s ESG journey reflects our commitment to creating products that care for people while respecting the planet. Though still at the early stages, we are embedding sustainability and responsibility into the way we work. We know that every step matters — no matter how small — and we’re committed to building on our progress year after year.

2016

Launched art against AIDS (AAA) — youth-led advocacy initiative.

Began collaborations with Malaysian AIDS Foundation (MAF), PT Foundation, and CHCC.

2019

Donated a GeneXpert HIV/AIDS diagnostic machine to improve testing and treatment access.

Expanded community reach through partnerships with Hilton and Hard Rock Hotel.

Joined the Fair Rubber Association in May 2019, supporting fair trade practices and improving the livelihoods of natural latex producers. Through this partnership, Karex continues to strengthen responsible sourcing and build a more equitable supply chain.

2020

Implemented Sustainable Packaging initiatives to advance our ESG goals through material innovation, waste reduction, and responsible sourcing - aligning our production values with global sustainability standards.

2021

Recognised with the ARROW Award for responsible practices.

Stepped up environmental efforts with Water Recycling and Waste Management programmes.

2022

Supported coastal ecosystems through Mangrove restoration efforts in Pontian, Johor.

2023

Listed on the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Index.

Honoured with The Edge ESG Award for progress in sustainability.

2024

Donated 700,000 contraceptives in collaboration with Malaysian AIDS Foundation (MAF) and Ministry of Health Malaysia.

art against AIDS (AAA) has successfully raised over RM1.5 million through donation and have benefitted numbers of beneficiary.

2025

Invested in renewable energy through our Solar Plant project in Thailand Plant.

Donated 1.4 million contraceptives in partnership with Malaysian AIDS Foundation and Ministry of Health Malaysia.
