    We successfully listed Karex Berhad on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. Innolatex Thailand Limited (ITL) installed six (6) additional dipping lines and Innolatex Sdn Bhd (ISB) installed four (4) additional dipping lines.

    We acquired a vacant factory adjacent to our Klang factory for future expansion.

  • 2010

    1. Karex Industries Sdn Bhd purchased six (6) automation ET machines from US to increase production capacity and made customisation on these machines to improve production efficiency. We acquired a 7.259 hectares vacant land in Pontian for future expansion.

  • 2009

    We successfully developed our polyisoprene probe covers.

  • 2006

    Innolatex Thailand Limited (ITL) commenced operation in the manufacturing of condoms and trademark the Carex brand in Thailand.

  • 2005

    We began manufacturing lubricating jelly internally at our Pontian Besar factory.

  • 2004

    Karex Industries Sdn Bhd rented a bigger factory in Pontian Besar and gradually shifted the manufacturing operations of Karex Industries Sdn Bhd, Hevea Medical Sdn Bhd and Uro Technology Sdn Bhd to this new factory. The Pontian Jaya factory remains as our Group’s finance and marketing offices as well as packaging centres and warehouse. Innolatex Sdn Bhd shifted its business and manufacturing operations from Sungai Buloh to Port Klang. Subsequently, we added a new dipping line to the Klang factory.

  • 2003

    Karex Industries Sdn Bhd ventured into the marketing and distribution of lubricating jelly as a complementary product to our condom manufacturing business. Innolatex Thailand Limited was incorporated.

  • 2001

    Innolatex Sdn Bhd was awarded its first ISO certifications including ISO13485:2003 and ISO9001:2008 certifications; and CE Mark from SGS United Kingdom Ltd.

  • 2000

    Innolatex Sdn Bhd (ISB) started operations in the manufacturing of condoms. We started to supply lubricating jelly to our customers via outsourcing.

  • 1999

    Hevea Medical Sdn Bhd (HMSB) was incorporated and commenced operations in the manufacturing of condoms. Innolatex Sdn Bhd (ISB) was incorporated. We started participating and attending international exhibitions and tradeshows to market and promote our products and services.

  • 1998

    We expanded our product range when we incorporated Uro Technology Sdn Bhd to venture into the manufacturing of catheters by acquiring the catheter manufacturing technologies and recruitment of key personnel from MLD. Uro Technology Sdn Bhd was incorporated and commenced operations in the manufacturing of catheters.

  • 1994

    Banrub changed its name to Karex Industries Sdn Bhd For production expansion, Karex Industries Sdn Bhd moved into two (2) rented adjacent semi-detached factories in Pontian Jaya with two (2) dipping lines. We saw an opportunity in the tender market and started participating in tenders offered by institutional buyers such as international agencies (multilateral and bilateral organisations), NGOs and governments. This marked our first foray into the tender market.

  • 1993

    Banrub secured an order from Gem Plaza LLC from UAE, to supply Carex condoms to the Middle Eastern countries. Since then, we started to market and distribute Carex condoms via intermediaries such as distributors and traders. Banrub was approached by Ascendia MedTech AB to help them manufacture probe covers. Subsequently, Banrub ventured into the manufacturing of probe covers.

    We ventured into probe cover manufacturing business.

  • 1990

    KISB trademarked its Carex brand in Singapore. We established an R&D team to focus on the design and development of production machinery starting with our own dipping line. Banrub secured a contract from Medical-Latex (Dua) Sdn Bhd (“MLD”) as its contract manufacturer to manufacture and supply semi-finished condoms. These semi-finished condoms were marketed under MLD’s brand name. This marked our first foray into the commercial market.

  • 1989

    Banrub commenced operations in the manufacturing of condoms. We started marketing and distributing our own brand of condoms to convenient shops and pharmacies in the Malaysian and Singaporean markets. This marked our first foray in the OBM market.

  • 1988

    Karex Industries Sdn Bhd was incorporated under the name Banrub to venture into the condom industry.
